Supported Employment

The supported employment program assists our participants in finding and keeping gainful employment in a fully integrated environment.  Participants are encouraged to work 15-20 hours per week.  An individual’s interests and long term goals are taken into consideration when searching for a position.  We strive to build partnerships with local businesses so that our participants are employed in a variety of occupations.

Once a position is obtained, we provide a certified job coach to help our participants train on the job.  The job coach will assist the participant in learning his/her job and will fade their assistance as the participant increases in independent productivity.

The supported employment program offers individuals with developmental disabilities genuine opportunities to participate in a truly integrated workforce, while earning minimum wage and pursuing meaningful goals.  The supported employment program is made possible through our partnership with Arkansas Rehab Services.

This program is available to our participants that are receiving ACS Medicaid Waiver service.  We currently serve Craighead, Greene, and Poinsett counties through our supported employment program.  For more information, please contact Rhonda Curry at 870-935-2750.
