At Focus, Inc. we strive to improve the lives of those we serve. We work one on one and in small group settings with individuals that have intellectual disabilities. Our goal is to help them live as independently as possible. We work in their home and in the community. We want to include them in our communities and encourage them to pursue their goals.

We need reliable, honest and caring people to step up and make the difference in our individuals' lives.
Job duties would include (but are not limited to):
Teaching daily living skills, such as personal hygiene, learning boundaries, cleaning and cooking, budgeting and ways to become more independent.
Transporting our individuals to community events, stores and desired activities (sometimes in bordering towns)
Daily documentation (use of a smart phone is required for our apps)
Being able to complete tasks that are assigned to you by your supervisor
Follow policy and procedure at all times to ensure the health and safety of our individuals
We offer mileage reimbursement for travel that is relevant to the individual's plan of care (goals and objectives).
Requirements for this position are:
Must be at least 18 years of age or older
High School Diploma/GED
Valid Driver's License (Clean driving record required)
Reliable Transportation- with the ability to transport individuals
Up-to-date Vehicle Registration
Up-to-date Vehicle Insurance
You must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen (Please note- random drug screens and reasonable suspicion drug screens are also performed)
In addition to the above, you must:
Be able to pass a criminal background check
Be able to pass a child maltreatment registry check
Be able to pass an adult maltreatment registry check
Center hours are from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm and run bus routes before and after center hours. Duties include working with individuals up to a 10:1 ratio, assisting them to complete daily goals, teaching new skills and assuring health and safety. Our program participants regularly participate in Special Olympics (basketball, bowling, track and field, etc.)
